After 5 nights in Orlando, we headed up to Savannah for 2 nights. Neither of us had been there and wanted to check it out.
Our Digs: Hotel Indigo Savannah Historic District – great location right next to City Market. It’s an IHG property and I was able to get 1 night free.
Drinks: In Vino Veritas – a nice wine bar with tapped wines which means the wine is never oxidized so it’s always fresh. We had a mix and match flight with a cheese plate.
Things to Do: The town is very walkable. We did a self-guided walking tour as well as checked out River St.
Adam and I have visited Charleston a few times and love it. I even got to live in Charleston when I worked on the Spoleto USA Festival. It’s a charming town with delicious food.
Our Digs: Hampton Inn Mt. Pleasant – Mt. Pleasant is just over the Ravenel Bridge and is a great option if you have a car and don’t want to pay the crazy hotel prices in the peninsula. Plus our pet friendly options were limited
Eats: Where to begin?! This time we ate at Husk, which has been on the list for awhile. MAKE A RESERVATION WAY IN ADVANCE. We ended up going for lunch and everything was delicious. For lunch or something casual, check out Caviar & Bananas. In Mt. Pleasant, Shem Creek has lots of great dining and drinking options.
Drinks: The Gin Joint – relax, not all gin drinks
Things to Do: Shopping on King St., City Market (we love the Rewined Candles sold there)
For our last stop, we visited Atlanta where my brother lives with his wife and 2 kids. We relaxed and drank a lot of wine for 2 nights.
Our Digs: My brother’s gorgeous new house
Eats: We didn’t eat out much this time but The Flying Biscuit Café is one of faves for brunch
Don’t forget to pin this for later!
